- Teens who consume energy drinks are more likely to engage in "risky behaviors," including substance abuse and violence, according to a study published in the The Journal of American College Health. Or, kids who do stupid sh*t prefer energy drinks.
- The housing loans meltdown is now affecting the auto industry: fewer and fewer are eligible for car loans.
- University of Maryland economist Peter Morici says Americans will feel the sting of high gas prices until Winter, which will make it "harder to [buy] a television, a suit, or even a meal at a restaurant."
- The number of soldiers diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder nearly doubled last year, according to statistics released by the Army.
- Barbie doll maker Mattel is suing the company behind Bratz dolls, alleging a former employee designed the dolls while he was with Mattel. Earlier this year, Mattel dropped a $35 million lawsuit against the employee, Carter Bryant.
