- See how Wal-Mart stores spread across the country over the last 45 years – it's "like wildfire."
- Are Americans cool with race now that Democrat Barack Obama is running for president? Not really according to a New York Times/CBS News poll.
- The NFL is "hiring experts" to investigate whether some of its players are flashing gang signs during games. Officials cited an incident earlier this year where NBA star Paul Pierce was fined for a throwing up a hand sign during a game. The hand sign turned out to have no gang meaning whatsoever. - OutKast's Andre 3000 steals the show in "Everybody," a new video by umbrella holder-turned-rapper Fonzworth Bentley. Also featured are Kanye West and Sa-Ra. (via Concreteloop)
- The United Nations' International Court of Justice has ruled that the U.S. should delay the execution of five Mexican death row inmates until the world court completes its own review of the prisoners' sentences. The ICJ previously ruled that the U.S. violated the 1963 Vienna Convention by denying the five prisoners access to the Mexican consulate after their arrest.
