Immigrant children are less physically active than U.S.-born kids, according to a study published in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. The study concludes that immigrant children often concentrate on reading and language lessons and have less time for exercise as well as less access to play areas.

its somewhat true.....well thats if wer'e talkin about being active in school.... while ur learning english as a second language u dont interact with other kids unless those kids are on the same page....once u get the hang of speaking it... well thats another story.....i went through this cuando chico so i can relate...

yea its true. immigrant children are busy learning english. but then again, los de adonde yo vivo solo pasan jugando futbol con sus otros amigos inmigrantes.

Yeah that sounds about right.
Maybe it's cause they feel like they'll be behind and they want to better themselves and as for kids who are US born are more distracted and less interested in school and more in running around everywhere.
