Dia de los Muertos is really more like Dia de los Antepasados. There is no direct correlation to the western concept of death and gore. 'Dia de los Muertos' was traditionally a whole month long. Today, regardless of it's commercialization we continue to honor our ancestors and preserve our culture as Indigenous Peoples.

i would have to go with dia de muertos because u hang out wit ur family and ur feet dont hurt from walking house to house just 2 get 1 or 2 pieces of candy
on dia de muertos u chill ther plus theres music food and festivals and its like a big party amd it longer plus u dont feel bad wen u have 2 go 2 skool the next day but halloween is still cool!!!!!!!!

I agree con Mizz Guera I like both of them and since most people that grew up over here got so used to both traditions theres no comparison. Dia De Los Muertos is a day of rememberance and halloween is scaryin the crap outta litto kids eating candy and ocasionally get wasted at a halloween party dressed up as a bottle of jose cuervo con todo y sombrero..... i mean not that ive done that myself buht ive seen hahaha....

when i was younger i would of said halloween..now i say dia de los muertos.. its about honoring and remembering and celebrating those who are not with us anymore... halloween is just a commcerical holiday now... no real meaning behind it
